WILW!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today I'm linking up with Jaime @ this kind of love for What I'm Loving Wednesdays.

Today has been a great day so far. I slept in until 11:00! I hate to think I'm wasting the day by sleeping, but I just got through working three 12 hour shifts in a row and I was beat!

I'm loving that my Mom came to visit me today. We went to lunch at a local seafood restaurant, Rhineharts (yumm-o)! Afterwards we came and picked up Lexie and took her to the dog park. My dog is hilarious. All she wants to do at the dog park is sniff around, bark at everyone else at the park, and drink tons of water. I brought her favorite tennis ball with us, and she did not pay it a bit of attention. I was able to calm her for .1 seconds to take a picture though. Here were are enjoying the nice weather.

And here is Lexie letting out all of her built up energy from laying on the couch with me all morning!

I was a slacker and didn't get a pic of me and my mom from today.

I am also loving that my husband and I are going to the Heat/Hawks game this Sunday in the ATL! Go Heat!! My hubby is a big Miami Heat fan and has loved Lebron James since he was

a little kid! I'm so exited that we are finally able to go to a game together. I'm thinking of getting this t-shirt to wear. What do ya'll think?

I'm also loving that I only to have work one day tomorrow and then I'll be off for three days....ahh....I can already feel the relaxation the weekend will bring!

XOXO,

Megan

2 On Tuesday: Hair Products

I'm linking up with Andrea @ My Chihuahua Bites for 2 on Tuesdays. This week's theme is two favorite hair products.

I used to have long hair, but recently went short. I've had to change a few a my hair products since cutting my hair short. One product I use every day is Suave Professionals Volumizing Boost Spray. It is inexpensive and works great. I put it on while my hair is still damp, then
blow dry my hair. It gives my flat hair instant volume.

I have been through a lot of shampoos, and this one works great, and is by far my favorite. The Dove Therapy Color Repair Shampoo seals in color, and treats my frizzy hair at the same time. Plus it smells great!

Hope everyone has had a great Tuesday. Tomorrow I have the day off work so my Mom is coming over for lunch and we are taking Lexie to the dog park! Blog post to follow about our day.

WILW!

I'm back from my blogging hiatus and linking up with Jamie @This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Today I'm loving that I took a splint class at the hospital. Since I transferred to the ER I have lots of new things I need to learn. Yes, I understand that by loving splint class I inherit nerd status, and no, I don't care.

See how much fun we have at work?!

I'm also loving that I got to catch up with one of my good frineds Brenda today and had some

much needed girl time! We got to grab lunch and I got to see her new house.

Here are some of my pinterest finds this week that I love:

Last but not least I'm loving my little family :)

2 on Tuesday: Christmas Traditions

I'm linking up with my cousin Andrea @ My Chihuahua Bites, for Two on Tuesdays! This week's topic is Christmas Traditions.

Growing up one of my favorite traditions were making Christmas cookies with my family. We would make them on the morning of Christmas Eve. It was always a lot of fun to make cookies for Santa! My other favorite tradition was also on Christmas Eve. My parents always lets us open two gifts on Christmas Eve. We would 1st read the story of Jesus's birth in Luke 2, then go around and take turn opening our presents. One gift was always pajamas, and the 2nd would usually be a devotional book. We would then line up in front of the Christmas tree and take family pictures in our pajamas :) See old picture below

This is one of my favorite memories... my grandfather was in the nursing home, so we invited my grandmother to spend Christmas eve with us at my parent's house. She got to open her own set of new Christmas pj's that year. So here we are with my grandmother looking super cute in her pjs, while me and my brother and sister are in old comfy clothes :)

Now that I'm married, my husband and I have some of our own Christmas traditions...

On the morning of Christmas Eve, we head to Cracker Barrell for the annual family Christmas breakfast with my husband's side of the family. Here is a picture from two years ago, because I am a slacker and did not document last year's trip:

Another tradition that we have continued, is that we always ready the biblical Christmas story on Christmas Eve together. I'm sure one day when we have kids, we will create more Christmas traditions for our family to share together. I will leave you with our family Christmas card photo from last year.

Merry Christmas, ya'll :)

Random Musings....

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start! With Thanksgiving approaching I thought it would be fun to say some things I'm thankful for.

I am thankful:

That yesterday was my Friday! whoo hoo! (life of a nurse)

My dog, Lexie, is starting to semi-behave (she definitely has only child syndrome)

That God led us to an awesome Sunday school class at our church for married couples

That my husband and I found out today that he got a great new job!

That the Lord continues to help our marriage grow in Him.

What about you? What are you thankful for?

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done"
1 Chronicles 16:18

2 on Tuesday!

I'm linking up with Andrea @ My Chihuahua Bites for 2 on Tuesdays! This week, the theme is two favorite halloween costumes. I'm not one to dress up every year. I'm also reallly bad about taking pictures. So here are the only two pictures of me dressed up for halloween that I could find.

Exhibit A:

I really thought my husband's costume (then boyfriend) was hilarious! He was a whoopie cushion. And I was a nurse.

Exhibit B:

This is from this year. My friend Jessica hosted a halloween party. I was a flapper and Chris (once again with funny costume), is a Red Sox pitcher. Sorry to all of the red sox fans out there in advance. He had a KFC bucket and a beer in his hand because the ongoing joke is that the pitchers sit in the dug outs during the games drinking beer and eating KFC. He was a big hit with the guys at the party.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe halloween!
